Morocco celebrated a remarkable football triumph on Thursday night, lifting the Arab Cup after a tense and dramatic clash with Jordan in Qatar. Back home in Rabat, fans took to the streets in jubilation, already dreaming of the next challenge: the Africa Cup.

Hundreds of supporters flooded Mohamed V Avenue, rallying to honor the Atlas Lions’ latest achievement. This victory adds to Morocco’s remarkable run over the past year, following wins at the African Nations Championship in August and the Under-20 World Cup in October. The Arab Cup triumph cements their status as one of the continent’s most promising football nations.

The final match in Doha was a rollercoaster. Morocco opened the scoring early, only for Jordan to mount a comeback with two second-half goals. Tension rose in the stadium and among fans watching from home. As one supporter put it, “In the first half, we played well. At the beginning of the second half, we were scared, but thank God, we trust the coach and the team.”

That faith was rewarded. Morocco equalized in the 89th minute, keeping the hopes alive, before Abderrazak Hamdallah struck decisively in extra time to secure a 3–2 victory. The win sparked celebrations across Rabat, with cafés packed and streets alive with cheers.

Fans expressed their excitement and optimism for the future. “After this cup, the next one is the Africa Cup,” one jubilant supporter declared, reflecting a nation’s high hopes as Morocco continues to assert its dominance on the international football stage.

The Atlas Lions’ victory not only brings national pride but also underscores Morocco’s growing football prowess, promising an exciting year ahead for the team and its fans.
