Israel is prepared to continue its military campaign against Iran for several more weeks, according to a senior military spokesperson, signaling that the conflict is far from over.

Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said the Israeli military has the capacity, targets, and resources to sustain ongoing operations, adding that the duration of the campaign will ultimately depend on decisions made by political leadership.

Israeli officials have indicated that the war has already passed its midpoint, but emphasized that operations will continue until strategic objectives are achieved. These include weakening Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its missile and drone infrastructure.

Military planning suggests a prolonged air campaign rather than a ground invasion, with officials previously noting that deploying ground forces inside Iran is unlikely at this stage.

The conflict has intensified in recent weeks, with both sides exchanging strikes across multiple fronts. Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and regional allies, while Israel has continued airstrikes on Iranian military and strategic sites.

The broader regional situation remains volatile, with concerns that the conflict could expand further. Armed groups aligned with Iran, including the Houthis in Yemen, have also entered the fray, raising fears of wider disruption to global shipping routes and energy markets.

Analysts say Israel’s readiness for a sustained campaign reflects both military preparedness and the complexity of its objectives. However, the longer the conflict continues, the greater the risks of regional escalation, economic fallout, and humanitarian consequences.

The evolving situation continues to draw international attention, with global powers urging restraint even as military operations show no immediate signs of slowing.
