100 Reputable Women of African Descent 2025: Tari Taylaur – Championing Environmental Sustainability and Media Innovation

Tari Taylaur is a dynamic leader dedicated to environmental sustainability, social development, and media excellence in Nigeria. As the founder of Upgrade, an environmental services social enterprise, she leads impactful initiatives aimed at creating cleaner and more sustainable urban spaces across the country. Her dedication to community transformation extends into politics, where she has actively pursued governance roles. She was a Youth Party Candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Eti-Osa 1 in the 2023 elections, and previously ran as a Councillorship Candidate for Lekki/Ikate Ward in 2021. Currently serving as the Ward Chairman for Lekki/Ikate under the Youth Party, she plays a key role in grassroots leadership and youth empowerment.

With nearly two decades of experience in Nigeria’s media and entertainment industry, Tari has worked on high-profile projects, including YouWin Nigeria, Desperate Housewives Africa, Apprentice Africa, Dragon’s Den Nigeria, and Nigeria’s official centenary documentary. In 2012, she founded Content Factory Ltd., a media and communications solutions provider specializing in public and private sector campaigns, SME branding, and government initiatives.

Tari Taylaur’s remarkable contributions to environmental advocacy, governance, and media innovation position her as a trailblazer in Africa’s development landscape. Her work continues to inspire positive change, making her a deserving honoree among the 100 Reputable Women of African Descent 2025.
