Russia’s Roscongress Foundation and African organisation Jet Age Nation Builders (JANB) have signed a five-year cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening youth engagement, promoting knowledge exchange and expanding institutional collaboration between Russia and Africa.

The agreement was signed during the Third Russia–Africa Summit and Economic and Humanitarian Forum in Moscow, held from October 28 to 29, 2026.

According to a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, November 1, Ambassador Young-Piero Omatseye signed the agreement on behalf of JANB’s steering committee.

Omatseye serves as the organisation’s African Coordinator and Director of Parliament for the African Union Commission Simulation Agenda 2063.

The partnership provides a framework for direct engagement between youth associations in Russia and Africa, with provisions for exchanging experiences and developing joint initiatives in education, social development and entrepreneurship.

It also seeks to increase the participation of young Africans in international business, cultural and institutional events organised by the Roscongress Foundation.
