Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has visited a police station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, demanding answers about the whereabouts of Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, who was reportedly arrested amid the actress’s ongoing marital crisis with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Reports indicate that Sammy West was arrested on Monday and allegedly transferred from Lagos to Abuja under unclear circumstances. Since his detention, family members and close associates claim they have not been allowed to see him.

Mercy Johnson, reacting strongly to the development, described the situation as “the worst form of injustice disguised as justice.”

In her words, “The worst form of injustice is pretended justice. A child was arrested, no one can or has been allowed to see him for two days. He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and allegedly taken to court straight from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria… wow.”

Using the hashtags #WhereIsSamuel and #FreeSamuelOjelagewu, Mercy called on the authorities to release him immediately and ensure transparency in the case.

In a video shared on Regina Daniels’ Instagram Stories, Mercy Johnson was seen leaving a police station after questioning officers about Sammy’s detention. She revealed that the police denied holding him in custody.

“I’m leaving here now. He’s not here. We’ve spoken to all the officers involved — he’s not here. We’re heading to the FCT Command,” she said.

The unfolding situation has generated a wave of concern and outrage among Nigerians, with fans and fellow celebrities demanding justice and urging authorities to clarify Sammy West’s whereabouts.
