In a grand celebration of African excellence and women’s empowerment, the Africa Women Summit (AWS) is set to officially launch its United Kingdom Chapter with an exclusive Award and Gala Dinner on October 26, 2025, at the elegant JK Banquets, 105 Bond Road, Mitcham CR4 3HG, London, UK. Themed “D.R.E.A.M – Daring to Rise, Excel, Achieve, and Make an Impact,” the landmark event promises to be an extraordinary convergence of women leaders, diplomats, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across Africa and the diaspora.

The Africa Women Summit, a flagship initiative of the Engage, Empower, Educate Initiative (EEE Initiative), has since its inception in 2018 provided a continental platform for dialogue, leadership development, and social transformation. With chapters now in over 23 countries, the UK launch marks a defining milestone in its mission to unite African women globally under one banner of empowerment, collaboration, and shared purpose. The summit will serve as a bridge between Africa and its diaspora, fostering partnerships and creating opportunities that transcend borders.

The highly anticipated gala dinner will not only celebrate the achievements of women making remarkable contributions in diverse sectors but will also spotlight stories of resilience, innovation, and leadership that continue to shape the African narrative on the global stage. The D.R.E.A.M theme underscores the summit’s commitment to inspiring women to take bold steps in leadership, entrepreneurship, education, and community impact, while providing a platform to amplify voices that have often gone unheard.

Among the distinguished personalities invited to grace the event is Ambassador Mrs. Asmaa James, Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union, who is expected to join a high-level panel session during the summit. Known for her exceptional work in diplomacy, advocacy, and social justice, Ambassador James has long championed causes promoting women’s participation in governance and peacebuilding. Her participation symbolizes the growing recognition of women’s leadership in shaping policies and promoting inclusive development across Africa and beyond.

Also invited are influential women leaders, first ladies, business executives, and global development partners whose individual and collective efforts continue to redefine the role of African women in governance, business, technology, and philanthropy. The summit will provide an opportunity for networking, dialogue, and collaboration among policymakers and private sector players committed to advancing gender equality and sustainable development.

Guests will enjoy an evening of elegance, culture, and celebration, with special recognitions, awards, and performances that highlight the beauty, resilience, and creativity of African women. Award recipients will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to leadership, social welfare, innovation, and community transformation. The event will also feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to foster mentorship, build partnerships, and strengthen the global movement for women’s empowerment.

The Africa Women Summit’s vision, led by the Engage, Empower, Educate Initiative, continues to grow beyond expectations. Its work over the years has impacted thousands of women through advocacy, mentorship, entrepreneurship programs, and community-based initiatives that equip women and girls with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to thrive. The expansion of AWS into the United Kingdom further amplifies its mission of creating a united platform for African women in the diaspora to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the continent’s development.

As the world continues to grapple with challenges of inequality, underrepresentation, and socio-economic disparity, the Africa Women Summit UK Chapter launch stands as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when women come together to DARE – to Rise, Excel, Achieve, and Make an Impact. The evening in London will not only celebrate success stories but will also ignite new conversations, inspire future leaders, and pave the way for a stronger, more connected community of African women across the globe.

With expectations high and interest from influential leaders and organizations across continents, the AWS UK Launch and Gala Dinner is poised to make history as one of the most impactful events celebrating African womanhood and leadership on international soil. The world watches with anticipation as Africa’s daughters continue to rise, lead, and transform societies through courage, excellence, and vision.
