PRESENTATION OF LETTERS OF CREDENCE BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF NIGERIA TO THE PRESIDENT OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

The High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Jerrymon Samuel Manwe formally presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency, Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on Tuesday, 21st July 2026, in the capital city of Port of Spain.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Martin Nworie Eze, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mrs. Angye Dankaro, Minister Counsellor at the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who witnessed the ceremony.

The Presentation of Credentials is a longstanding diplomatic tradition that formally marks the beginning of a Head of Mission’s accreditation. The ceremony includes the signing of the Visitors’ Book, the presentation of Letters of Credence, the exchange of official gifts, and discussions on matters of mutual interest before concluding with the ceremonial departure of the High Commissioner, escorted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Mounted Branch.
