The 2025/26 Premier League season begins this Friday with defending champions Liverpool hosting Bournemouth at Anfield, marking the start of an exciting new campaign packed with fresh signings, high-profile transfers, and a wave of African football talent set to make an impact. Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah, the reigning Player of the Season, is aiming for his fifth Golden Boot while leading a revamped Liverpool attack alongside big-money signings Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz.

Manchester City, determined to bounce back after finishing third and enduring a trophyless season, have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Algerian left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £31 million. Known for his attacking prowess, having registered four goals and seven assists last season, Ait-Nouri has already tasted action with City at the FIFA Club World Cup. Manager Pep Guardiola is eager for the 24-year-old to thrive in City’s possession-dominated style and provide an extra attacking edge from the flanks.
