Ghanaian visual artist Amoako Boafo and Ivorian architect Issa Diabaté are two creative powerhouses reshaping global narratives around African identity, culture, and urban development. Boafo, known for his vibrant finger-painted portraits, explores the nuances of Black identity, African diaspora, and self-expression through a deeply personal lens. His artwork, which often celebrates African excellence and individuality, has not only captivated international galleries but has also broken auction records, positioning him as one of the most influential contemporary African artists today.

Meanwhile, in Côte d’Ivoire, architect Issa Diabaté is pioneering a vision for African cities rooted in sustainability and cultural relevance. Through his firm Koffi & Diabaté Architects, he is reimagining urban living by integrating affordable, eco-friendly materials and local craftsmanship into innovative building designs. Diabaté’s mission is to combat the imported, unsustainable architectural norms that dominate many African cities, advocating instead for scalable models that reflect the continent’s climate, economy, and community needs.

Together, Boafo and Diabaté represent a new generation of African creatives who are not only thriving on the global stage but also redefining what it means to build and express an authentic African future through art, architecture, and purpose-driven innovation.
