100 Reputable Women of African Descent 2025: Reem Safy Leads Egypt’s Al Safy Group with Innovation, Legacy, and Entrepreneurial Impact

Reem Safy, CEO of Egypt’s Al Safy Group, is fast becoming one of Africa’s most dynamic young business leaders. At the helm of a family-founded conglomerate with operations spanning mobile device repair, local manufacturing, FinTech, and entrepreneurship support, Safy has redefined what it means to carry forward a legacy while boldly charting a new course for growth and innovation.

Born into an entrepreneurial family, Reem stepped into the business world with intention and vision. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the American University in Cairo and a Master of Psychological Science from the University of Glasgow, she joined the Al Safy Group in 2018 as Vice President of Human Resources. Within just a year, she became Executive Vice President and then ascended to CEO proving that her leadership would not simply be inherited, but earned.

Under Reem’s stewardship, Al Safy Group has expanded its regional footprint into more than five countries and has become recognized as the fastest company for mobile device repair and maintenance in Egypt. She has pushed a strong agenda for local manufacturing, investing in factory development and advocating for Egyptian production to reduce reliance on imports and stimulate the national economy.

In addition to her CEO duties, Reem sits on the board of Domty Juice (Arabian Food Industries), where she contributes to production strategies, pricing models, and distribution frameworks. She is also closely involved with T-Vencubator, a platform nurturing Egypt’s startup ecosystem a reflection of her belief in technology and youth-led innovation as the future of the continent.

Reem’s leadership is marked by tireless dedication, often working late into the night to balance operational demands with long-term strategy. Her role as a woman leading a major Egyptian corporation has not gone unnoticed. At just 29 years old in 2022, she described herself as “a young leader finding her path,” yet her track record tells the story of a visionary already reshaping Egypt’s tech and industrial landscape.

Recently, Safy represented Al Safy Group at global innovation forums like LEAP 2024 in Saudi Arabia, advocating for the digital transformation of Egypt and showcasing how African firms can thrive in the global tech economy. Her work blends leadership, legacy, and social responsibility making her a standout figure among Africa’s next-generation CEOs.

Her inclusion in the 100 Reputable Women of African Descent 2025 underscores not only her exceptional achievements in business but also her contributions to empowering Egypt’s youth, driving economic growth through local industry, and bridging the gap between tradition and innovation in a fast-changing world.
