Africa’s top business leaders and political figures have gathered in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for the Africa CEO Forum 2025, which runs from May 12 to 13. This prestigious event, co-organized by Jeune Afrique Media Group and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), brings together more than 2,000 decision-makers from 73 countries, making it the largest annual gathering of Africa’s private sector. Broadcasting live from the opening panel, the forum sets the stage for dynamic discussions on industrial transformation, artificial intelligence, regional integration, and economic partnerships.

With a growing urgency to reshape the continent’s economic future, the forum’s theme, “It’s time to strike a new deal with the African private sector,” emphasizes the critical need for stronger collaboration between governments and businesses. The presence of several heads of state and top government officials highlights the strategic importance of this event, which is emerging as a key platform for dialogue between Africa’s public and private sectors.

As the global economy navigates increasing protectionism, disrupted supply chains, and rising geopolitical tensions, African leaders are being called upon to rethink traditional growth models. The forum seeks to explore bold strategies that will unleash the full potential of Africa’s private sector and promote sustainable economic development across the continent.
