NIGERIA CONGRATULATES MOROCCO ON APPOINTMENT OF NEW PRIME MINISTER

The Federal Government of Nigeria warmly congratulates the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco on the historic emergence of Her Excellency Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri as the country’s new and first female Prime Minister.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco appointed H.E. El Mansouri as Prime Minister on 29 September 2026, following the victory of her Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the 23 September 2026 parliamentary elections.

The Federal Government regards this landmark development as a significant milestone in Morocco’s political history, and extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister El Mansouri as she assumes the responsibility of forming and leading a new Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Federal Government of Nigeria looks forward to working closely with H.E. El Mansouri and her government to further strengthen the longstanding and cordial relations between Nigeria and Morocco. It is confident that the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and Morocco will continue to grow for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

The Federal Government of Nigeria wishes His Majesty King Mohammed VI continued health and happiness. It also wishes the Government and people of Morocco peace, stability, progress and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri.
