French department store chain BHV is moving forward with its rollout of Shein physical store spaces across several French cities beyond Paris. The Chinese fast-fashion platform Shein will open standalone shop-in-shop spaces inside BHV locations in Limoges, Angers, Dijon, Grenoble and Reims on Wednesday 25 February 2026. These will follow the first Shein space established at the BHV Marais in Paris.
The shop spaces sized roughly between 500 and 1 000 m² depending on the city are part of a partnership between Shein and BHV’s operator Société des Grands Magasins (SGM) that was announced last October. The roll-out is happening earlier than originally planned and will proceed progressively with an initial offering focused on winter collections, later expanding to include more seasonally tailored products based on local preferences.
This expansion reflects Shein’s strategy to build a physical retail footprint in France following its first permanent store in Paris — an effort that has been controversial with some local retailers, politicians and brands citing concerns about competition and environmental impact.
